Our master bedroom room tour, featuring a French Country and Farmhouse design with distressed white accent furniture, white flowers, and a tufted headboard
When we bought our home three years ago, we had no idea where we wanted everything to go or who was going to get which bedroom. Our master bedroom, which was long overdue, is now the bedroom of our dreams. It’s a cozy and neutral space that we can’t wait to go to every night – it’s exactly how I envisioned it would be.
The large window allows us to see the stars at night and then wake up to the rising sun every morning. With fresh evergreen trees in view, there’s something so romantic about the country and cottage feel of this room. I painted the antique french doors that lead into the room a distressed white, which match the distressed white nightstands. We are absolutely in love.
The theme of this room is based on clean whites and neutrals, while having a calming affect. I was going to go with mirrored night stands, but picked these distressed white ones instead. I couldn’t be happier with what I chose. It’s such a beautiful, bright, and cheerful space, and it really came together wonderfully. Let me know what you think!
Update: It’s been almost a year since we had updated this bedroom, mind you, we also have two small, wild children. The white has kept up extremely well and it remains a simple, minimal room that still has a fresh look.
We do not allow our children to eat or drink in our bedroom, maybe popcorn on occasion, but that’s only because we invested in a great vacuum cleaner (view full post here). Also, regular washing of hands after meals is a must! It’s inevitable to get stains, so I usually spot clean with warm water. Hope this helps!
